Eat The Pastryarchy: Celebrating Women With Yummyholic

Last Sunday, March 4, I was a vendor at the We Are The XX event at the August Wilson Center. It was my first experience selling Sarica Studio merchandise in person, and it’s all thanks to my friend and creative ninja, Jasmine Cho of Yummyholic. When Jasmine invited me to collaborate with her on this event, I was super excited because she is one of my role models as an Asian American female entrepreneur. As an aspiring businesswoman, I look up to Jasmine who founded a one-woman run bake shop, specializing in intricately designed cookies, cupcakes, and other confections that aren’t just cute and delicious, but often have a deeper meaning.

Together, we came up with kawaii designs in the form of confections by Jasmine, and stickers, prints, and pin-backed buttons by me. I am always in awe of Jasmine’s creations, because they’re sheer perfection, and I also cannot bake to save my life!

We love a good pun, especially if it’s sassy.

I absolutely love these Wakanda Forever cookies inspired by Black Panther. I was lucky enough to snag one before they sold out!

These cupcakes were delectable. The breakfast of champions cupcake is inspired by Olympic champion Chloe Kim’s insatiable appetite!

We are super grateful to all that bought any desserts or merchandise from us that evening. If you liked what you saw in this post, you can find these two mini sticker sheets in my Etsy shop.

I’m looking forward to doing more in-person events in the future!
